Care for your pet, in the comfort of your own home.

Home visits across Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire, South Powys, South Gwynedd and North Pembrokeshire — usually within 90 minutes of Tregaron.

Home Visit & Euthanasia

A calm, unhurried visit in your own home. Your pet is sedated first so they fall asleep peacefully in familiar surroundings, surrounded by the people they love. You can then make your own arrangements for their care afterwards.

Euthanasia With Cremation

The same gentle home visit, with cremation arranged and handled for you. Choose communal cremation, or individual cremation if you would like your pet's ashes returned to you in a keepsake of your choosing.

About Me

I'm Dr Lucy Blackwell MVDr MRCVS, a veterinary surgeon who has worked in mixed practice across mid-Wales since graduating in 2022. I am registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in the United Kingdom.

Supporting families through the loss of a beloved pet has always been one of the most meaningful parts of my work. That's why I've chosen to dedicate my practice exclusively to home euthanasia — saying goodbye at home allows pets to remain where they feel safest and most comfortable, while giving families the privacy, time and compassionate support they deserve.

During The Visit

I'll explain each step gently before it happens. A sedative is given first so your pet drifts into a deep, comfortable sleep in your arms, followed by the final injection. Everyone who wants to be there can be.

Afterwards

You are welcome to take as much time as you need. I will care for your pet respectfully and arrange communal or individual cremation if you have chosen it, keeping you informed at every stage.

Before I Arrive

We'll talk beforehand so I understand your pet, your home and your wishes. There is no rush. You can choose a favourite room, a sunny spot in the garden or their own bed — wherever they feel most themselves.

If you are thinking about saying goodbye, or simply want to talk through your options, please get in touch.  I will always come back to you as soon as I can.

Let's talk, whenever you're ready
